New Attractions at Disney Springs

Disney Springs has undergone a major expansion during its transformation from being the former Downtown Disney area. Take a break from the amusement parks and enjoy the entertainment and upscale dining & shopping options found within this new complex. New restaurants for the upcoming season include James Beard-trained Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming that celebrates the best of southern cuisine. Shop at upscale boutiques, like Uniqlo, a Japanese clothing store and Zara, featuring fashions from Spain.

Andretti Indoor Carting and Games

Opening in summer 2017, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games offers a respite from the hot weather with its indoor amusement center featuring high-speed electric superkarts for your racing pleasure over a two-level track. Take a break from the parks and enjoy the challenge of rock wall climbing, laser tag, or zip-lining. The center is conveniently located behind the Orange County Convention Center.

Miss Adventure Falls

With an anticipated opening during Spring 2017, Miss Adventure Falls is the first new ride to come to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon in over a decade. This family raft ride will transport riders up the lift hill while seated in the raft, unlike many other water park rides. The total ride is expected to be two minutes, which makes this new ride one of the longest water park rides in the Orlando area.

Starflyer at the Vue

Plans have been approved for the world’s tallest swing ride to be built at I-Drive, which when at full speed will spin riders through the air at 50 mph. The Starflyer, topping out at 425 feet will tower over the existing 400-foot Orlando Eye. This new ride is expected to be in operation by Summer 2017 is similar to the existing Starflyer ride at Magical Midway.
