Best Dinner Shows to See When You Visit Kissimmee

If you and your guests are searching for the ideal dinner show, you won’t be disappointed when you stay at a Kissimmee rental home. The difficulty may be selecting which venue to go to, as each show provides its own unique entertainment. Some guests prefer to sit back, and relax while skilled performers present their talents on stage, while others favor shows that require audience participation. Here are three of the most highly recommended dinner shows to see when you are staying in a luxury Kissimmee vacation home:

Pirate's Dinner Adventure

This dinner show offers a full evening of entertainment and great food. The night begins with appetizers and drinks at the Governor’s Annual Gala, where magicians and storytellers preface your adventure. After the pre-show, guests are escorted to their tables, located on one of six ships. Each ship has a spectacular view of a 46 foot, 18th century Spanish galleon sporting 40-foot masts. Your ship will be hosted by your own pirate, as he prepares to plunder the sailing ship. While you and your guests dine lavishly, the pirate’s story unfolds. Never boring, the adventure is both romantic, and funny, and includes cannon discharges, pyrotechnics, and acrobatic stunts. Will your pirate prevail? Find out over dessert and coffee.

Capone's Dinner & Show

Guests of all ages have been delighted by Capone’s dinner and show for over 20 years.  Entrance to the prohibition-era venue requires a special knock and password. Once seated, the entertainment begins with Al Capone’s request for help, “We need to find a rat in the organization.”  The cast of gangsters, and dolls, featuring spectacular costumes perform a variety of musical numbers. Dinner includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, with delicious American and Italian entrees. When Capone and the audience find the rat, be prepared for a shoot-out. The special ammunition contains big prizes for lucky guests in the audience.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

This dinner show is one of the longest-running dinner shows ever, and has been enjoyed for over 40 years. The setting of the western themed revue is appropriately, a barn. The show includes six performers who sing, and dance for 90 minutes, reminiscent of a Broadway show.  Guests are enthused by the incredible energy and talent of the performers, enchanted by the beautiful ballads, and amused by the jokes in this vaudeville show. The family style menu includes buckets of fried chicken and barbecue spare ribs, corn, baked beans, and for dessert, strawberry shortcake.

Medieval Times

Florida’s Medieval Times has been one of the most popular Orlando dinner show attractions since its opening in 1983. The evening begins with your transformation back to medieval times, when you cross the drawbridge, to enter a white-stone castle, surrounded by an authentic moat.  Dinner festivities begin in the Hall of Arms, and when the feast is ready, royal servants escort you to your table. The royal menu, fit for a king, features roasted chicken, spare ribs, tomato bisque soup, and basted potato. While dining, guests are treated to an exciting show where all competition participants are decked out in authentic medieval costuming and armaments. The tournament includes magnificent horses, daring feats of horsemanship, jousting matches, sword fighting, hand-to-hand combat, and falconry. Each seating section has an assigned knight to cheer on during the tournament competitions. Finish your royal night off with the pastry of the castle and gourmet coffee.
