Stay Cool in the Summer Heat by Visiting Orlando’s Best Water Parks

When you are in sunny Orlando, Florida for a luxury vacation, corporate retreat, or a special event, you can make sure to stay cool in the summer heat by visiting Orlando’s highly regarded water parks.

Reunion Resort hosts one of Orlando’s best on-site water parks, the Reunion Resort Water Park. The water park at Reunion Resort challenges even the busiest of travelers to stop and enjoy its appealing lazy river, winding water slides, and classic lawn games. The pool area also hosts the Cove Pool Pavilion, with two soothing jacuzzis, poolside dining, scenic golf course views, outdoor billiards, and a game room that kids of all ages can enjoy.

If you choose to go off-site, Orlando is the premiere city for water parks and amusement parks.

Typhoon Lagoon features ten different activity areas as well as a variety of thrill slides. There’s the Crush ‘n’ Gusher and the Humunga Kowabunga, which hurtles you 214 feet downhill while staring down a 60-degree angle slide. Miss Adventure Falls is the most recent addition to Typhoon Lagoon. A family raft style of ride is quickly becoming the newest highlight of the park since its opening in March 2017.

A ski resort-themed park aimed at the older kids in the family. It hosts more daring slides than Typhoon Lagoon, many with height restrictions. Teens love to visit Blizzard Beach to ride the waves and fly down the daring slides. Blizzard Beach is home to Summit Plummet, one of the tallest, fastest freefall body slides in the world. Both Disney water parks feature a variety of dining options that will satisfy the whole family.

Located within LEGOLAND and is the only place where the kids can actually build their own float raft out of soft LEGO bricks. For the more adventurous park goers, there are three Splash Out speed slides with 60-foot drops, as well as the competitive Twin Chasers tube slides.

The newest addition into the Orlando water park mix is Universal's Volcano Bay (opening May 25, 2017). Debuted at Universal's new water park, will be the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko'okiri Body Plunge slide, the Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides, and the Punga Racers. For those seeking solace and relaxation, the Kopiko Wai Winding River is for you.
