Our Guide to SeaWorld for Your Orlando Vacation

On your luxury dream vacation in sunny Orlando, Florida, entertainment is not at a minimum. However, you want to maximize your fun while making the memories that will be talked about on holidays and around the table for years to come. And with 4.7 million annual visitors, SeaWorld Orlando is one of the top ten most visited amusement parks in the United States.

SeaWorld Orlando is set within 200 acres of a beautiful Orlando landscape. Opened in 1973, SeaWorld Orlando has been one of the most popular theme parks for decades. A 2014 renovation divided the park into uniquely themed “seas” – the Sea of Legends, Sea of Fun, Sea of Mystery, Sea of Delight, Sea of Ice, Sea of Shallows, and the Sea of Power. The famed Shamu Stadium is located at the center of the Sea of Power and features the One Ocean show as its main attraction. The Shamu Christmas Miracles and Shamu Celebration shows are presented as seasonal attractions.

For those seeking adventure, the Mako hypercoaster was opened in 2016. The Mako (named after the fastest shark) is the fastest, tallest, and longest coaster in Orlando. SeaWorld Orlando is also introducing the very first virtual-reality rollercoaster in the country this summer, with the revival of Kraken! Kraken will give visitors the option to don VR headsets, which will cover the guest’s eyes and ears as they embark on an undersea adventure with the Kraken and other sea animals. Kraken Unleashed opens June 16th. If you’re looking for more thrills head over to Manta, SeaWorld’s “flying roller coaster.” Here, the coaster will lay you faced down as you experience the ride from the point of view of a Manta ray.

Because SeaWorld focuses on interactive education, you can also feed sea lions, take a selfie with one of many penguin species, guide baby turtles, get a high five from one of 200 stingrays, and enjoy the Pets Ahoy show. You can even enjoy your lunch underwater at the Sharks Underwater Grill. Be on the lookout as sharks and obscure tropical fish swim past your table while enclosed in a huge tank.

SeaWorld is a great way to spend your day in Orlando. The combination of fantastic fun and energizing education is what makes SeaWorld unique to the amusement park market. Let it be unique to your family also. Enjoy your days out at SeaWorld as you live out your fun filled vacation, being able to come back to your private rental home to unwind and relax.
